Cut and Paste Poem

I used cut out words and phrases from newspapers, books and magazines, in order to make my poem. Not only did this create a random poem, but it also means that when creating the layout in photoshop I can use the chunky letters, resembling Sister Mary Corita's work.

I also wrote it out in ink, so I have a variety on typefaces to use in my poem book.

Sister Mary Corita Kent explores the use of bright, bold, contrasting colours through chunky, layered text. Before creating my own poem and designing the layout, I researched her art.

In order to improve my understanding of colour, I created an illustration using only a few colours, but explored the different tones.
